The end of illegal car racing at Warsaw PGE national stadium

Residents surrounding the PGE National Stadium have been complaining about the howl of cars. Lovers of fast driving arrange car racing there. Soon, 120 barriers will appear on the grounds around the stadium.

Inhabitants of Praga-Południe  in Warsaw , who have been fighting illegal car races for years, have finally achieved their goal.

No more races at the National Stadium
Until now, Varsovians from Saska Kępa , Kamionka, ul. Targowa or the vicinity of the Eastern Railway Station often aroused the roar of engines and the squeaking of tires. The problem has been repeatedly reported to the police. Unfortunately, when officers arrived, the racers would be gone.

All barriers will be placed on the grounds at the PGE National. – The most thresholds will be on the straight stretch of the membrane, where drifts were usually held. We hope that this will stop this practice – says Monika Borzdyńska, spokeswoman for PGE Narodowy

Residents have long been asking for the intervention of the authorities. Eventually their sleepless nights will end. A few weeks ago, the stadium authorities responded to the request of Senator Marek Borowski, who asked them to improve security at the PGE National Park.
