Ticket controllers can now ‘communicate’ in 14 languages

Metropolitan ticket inspectors will now have a special brochure for foreigners. The magazine in many different that languages ​​will explain what the process and fine will be for riding public transport without a valid ticket

“In Warsaw, several thousand foreign students are taught and more than 2.7 million tourists visit Poland every year.” Visitors often use public transport and sometimes they travel without a valid ticket, not everyone speaks English, which is why the Transport Authority has prepared a handy information brochure that will be shown to foreigners during the ticket inspection “-  says ZTM.

The brochure is to be given to all controllers soon. It will contain information on the amount of the additional fee for driving without a valid ticket, the possibility of paying the penalty to the controller (cash or payment card), at the Passenger Service Point or at the post office.

The manual will contain information in Polish and in 14 other languages: English, German, Ukrainian, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, Hindi, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew and Arabic.
